The baroque spirit in all his musical shapes. A lot of religious baroque music has its roots in catholic traditions. In those traditions, the month of May is dedicated to Mary, Jesus’ mother. That’s why today’s episode of L’Espirit Baroque will feature baroque music that is written as an ode, or prayer, to Mary.
