Inventions for Radio presents Fred Gales, Sound Reporters

wed 23 apr 2014
Theme: Crosslinks

April 23rd 23.00 CET in Inventions for Radio, Fred Gales with his Sound Reporters. He made a selection from his wide audio archive with recordings that are dedicated to the art of field recording of sound and music without compression, fusion or other artificial flavors.

An hour long uninterrupted music as it is performed on village squares, huts and fields of Africa and Asia, music that is rooted in a specially threatened culture and music that is unique in its own musical structure, mood and style. But also music with ambient noise, with crickets, chickens, talking, laughter and that can be characterized best as tribal, ethnic, primitive, wild, definitely not modern and of a special beauty.
